When your mama is a professional photographer ( www.josette.com.au) who specialises in capturing family memories with a focus on maternity and newborn, well you just know the images are going to be a bit special.
Here is a little snapshot of Elo and his simple boho style nursery, featuring our hand stitched wrap in French Blue.
Light, bright and airy are things we want from any room in the house and the nursery is not exception.
However most of the decorating in this Sunshine Coast home is stunning in its simplicity and meaning .
The stunning rattan bassinet from Sacred Bundle is the stand out feature in this room with its rising sun design. And of course rattan is having a bit of a moment right now too.
Each piece on the shelves which by the way were cleverly created by Josettes' husband out of petrified wood he salvaged from a creek on his brothers farm. Now thats something thats really one of a kind with a story to tell.
And speaking of stories... this log which has been turned into a footstool came from a tree that came down on their property during a storm last year while Josette was pregnant.
With an olive tree to bring a touch of greenery in, and this modern rocking chair it certainly does look like the perfect spot to spend many an hour feeding and bonding.
Such a lovely sense of place and meaning.
Josette handmade the mobile herself which creates this dreamy quality above the bassinet. It's the little things like this that make the room a special place.
There are plenty of ways to customise your blanket/wrap to make it special. Add extra letters or the birthdate, add a rainbow or a beautiful branch nature motif or two..its up to you.
